Enterprise architecture is a skeletal framework that defines the overall structure of the business. It shows how resources flow from suppliers to the value-adding production of the company product or service, and on to its delivery to customers.

This top-level architecture makes it possible to visualize all parts of the business structure and how they interact with each other. This makes it easy to determine how a change in business goal or strategy will impact various parts of the business.
