The Organization Unit directs the work of the Business Function by establishing targets and allocating resources.

The Core Process provides the subprocess that defines how work is to be performed. It also triggers action by the Business Function in response to incoming work requests.

The Subsystem provides the control mechanisms that schedule work requests and assign resources to achieve function targets. It also applies feedback loops to measure results and maintain a balance between incoming workload and available resources.
